Type information
Type locality: “in mari Indae orientalis” (Mauritius) (Silva, Basson & Moe 1996: 333). Type: LD 34664 (Yoshida 1998: 802). Notes: The type locality, Mauritius was first recorded by Doty (1988: 180). He notes that the holotype for S. serra J. Agardh is believed to have been illustrated by Kylin (1932: pl. 10, fig. 21) as Agardh Herbarium Specimen No. 34664.
